البَذْرُ: مَصْدَرُ بَذَرْتُ الشَّيْءَ والحَبَّ، بَذْراً: إِذا نَثَرْتَهُ وفَرَّقْتَهُ في الأَرْضِ، وهو ما عُزِلَ مِن الحُبُوبِ للزِّراعَةِ، وأَوّلُ ما يَخْرُجُ من الزَّرْعِ والبَقْلِ والنَّباتِ.
English "Badhr": seeds. Derived from "badhara", which means scattering the seeds on the ground. Other meanings: the seeds sorted and separated for cultivation; the shoots of plants and grains.

البَذْر -ويُقال: البُذْر-: مَصْدَرُ بَذَرْتُ الشَّيْءَ والحَبَّ، بَذْرًا: إِذا نَثَرْتَهُ وفَرَّقْتَهُ في الأَرْضِ، وهو ما عُزِلَ مِن الحُبُوبِ للزِّراعَةِ، وأَوّلُ ما يَخْرُجُ من الزَّرْعِ والبَقْلِ والنَّباتِ، ويُطلَق على النَّسْلِ، فيقال: إنَّ هؤلاءِ لَبَذْرُ سوءٍ، والجمع: بُذورٌ، وبِذارٌ.
