1- إقْلِيمٌ عَظِيمٌ مَشْهُورٌ مِنْ أَقَالِيمِ جَزِيرَةِ الْعَرَبِ، وعاصمتها وأكبر مدنها هي مدينة المُكلّا.
2- كانت حضرموت تابعة لمملكة قتبان ثم خضعت لمملكة سبأ ثم خضعت للحميريين.
3- وصل الإسلام إلى حضرموت سنة 7 للهجرة بعد كتاب النبي صلى الله عليه وسلم لحاكمها وائل بن حجر.
4- كانت حضرموت أحد مراكز الإباضية.
